The Queensland Pups & Handlers Annual General Meeting will be held on February 23rd, 2025 at the Sportsman Hotel, Spring Hill.
What Is an Annual General Meeting?
Under our
constitution, a general meeting of the members must be held each year to vote on certain things.
Can anyone attend the Annual General Meeting?
All current financial members can attend the meeting and are entitled to vote. Check you membership status at our
TidyHQ portal.
Should I attend the Annual General Meeting?
Yes. Q-PAH is a club which belongs to its members. Every member has an equal say in these important matters and your vote means a lot. Voting at a general meeting is how you can help shape the club into what you want it to be.
Do I need to attend in person to vote?
No. Proxy forms will be distributed 14 days before AGM. You can nominate a proxy of your choosing, or the chair of the meeting. You can direct them how to cast your vote, or leave it to their judgement on the day.
What will be voted on at the Annual General Meeting?
There will be four things to vote on at this meeting. They are:
About Auditor Appointment
An external audit is no longer legally required for a club of our size, as such we will appoint an auditor with the caveat that they will only be engaged if our income or assets increase to the level where an external audit is actually required.
About The Financial Report
The financial report shows members of the club our income and expenses for the year. All members are entitled to read the financial report and vote on whether to adopt it. It will be made available prior to the AGM.
